Chain stores - Spring Just Jeans Blue

It's fantastic that maxi dresses are in fashion this New Zealand Spring season, I walked down the main shopping street here and thought - I want that, and that and that! So I've done this look all on Just Jeans clothing and accessories. I'm not sure if the scarf would be wide enough for a hijab but you could wear a navy al-amira with the scarf round the neck as shown. I'm not the biggest fan of all these items, the maxi dress is my key piece but I wanted to show that you can indeed buy a whole outfit of hijab from one shop. When I grew up in a small town there were only about four shops that sold 'cool' clothes and one was Just Jeans so its great to know that even sisters in small towns can get hijab clothes.

Loving the eşarp - LOSVE Turquoise Paisley

Paisley is soo cool. Wikipedia says "is a droplet-shaped vegetal motif of Persian origin, similar to half of the Yin yang symbol, or the leaf of the Indian bodhi tree or the mango tree; or to a leech. The pattern is sometimes called "Persian pickles" by American traditionalists, especially quiltmakers,[1] or "Welsh pears" in Wales textiles as far back as 1888.[2]"

What I love about LOSVE scarves is that they are like eşarp, howerver they are not silk so are a lot cheaper, but they feature different patterns from the Turkish eşarp houses as they are independent of Turkish fashion being in the UK. This hijab features turquoise, white, orange and yellow so I have picked these up in my look. There's an alternate scarf or dupatta as I saw a sister wearing this in a salwar kamees recently and it was soo beautiful. I hope you like the quirky accessories, we are moving into spring now so I thought I would love to wear some OTT looks.

Teen Tesettür with Tea on her head

I love this image of a young Turkish girl studying so I've decided to do a look for teenage Muslimas looking for a very soft hijab look that is appropriate for school. Some girls might be happy to wear the sweater on its own but if you are not, try it with this cute coat (take the belt off it is too tight). The eşarp is quite unusual as it has pictures of teapots on it, how fun!

Switch up your eşarp, switch up your accessories

Here's a great basic tesettür outfit of a white coat with beige trousers and two eşarp with accessory options. Pierre Cardin is an Italian born French fashion designer who has his name on a billion different sartorial options. His scarves are sold as headscarves but the fashion pictures are not hijab appropriate. So I've taken a similar color outfit here but did a tesettür take on this with a white coat and pale beige pants. There's two accessory options with the purple bag and yellow shoes, think Jessica Parker with the purple explosion scarf on the left. With the red bag and turquoise shoes with the turquoise explosion scarf on the right. Hope you all like the accessories!

Shiny tesettür underscarves

This is such a beautiful silk headscarf, eşarp from Ugoza but the focus in this post is the pretty underscarf. Most Turkish hijab are silk so presumably the shiny underscarf is also silk, here are what I could find for sale on the internet:

Simply Islam Bone Hair Cap in Silk Saten for US$5.16 are available in a range of colors.

Hijab and satin underscarf for sale on eBay for £7.49, Insh'allah the sister will continue to sell these sets in her eBay store Hijab Elegance

There are also satin underscarves for sale by themselves in purple or green for £2.50.

Alternatively you could sew a piece of satin on to an underscarf you already own (you could turn it around if you wanted the un-satin piece to show), use a satin scarf as an underlayer to another scarf (although this could be slippery) or use an elastic satin headband.

Rayyan's Seventeenth Outfit

Rayyan wears a very pretty blue outfit of a long turquoise tee with a bit of embroidery over navy trousers.

As usual Shukr has the best set:
Shukr's Soft Cotton Shirt with Tucks in Oceania for USD $48.95

with these trousers:
Shukr's Wool Flannel Pants in Navy Blue for USD $19.95 or for a wider trouser try Shurk's Lengha Pants for USD $48.95

I know I use Shukr alot, if you would rather I used some other site please recommend me one in your comments.

Rayyan's Seventeenth Outfit - Hijab

Rayyan certainly likes cut velvet floral scarves, this one is blackish navy with blue flowers and green leaves.

A little bird told me, aka alixianna that my hijab posts are great so I've gone nuts!

This is a skinny scarf so you need a navy al-amira underneath Scarf World's Skinny Velvet Scarf (Blue Roses) for £15.99 It's the closest scarf to Rayyan's as its cut velvet in the same colors.

Still pretty skinny so stick with that al-amira Scarf World's Sheer Neck Scarf (Blue & Black Floral) for £2.95 This is similar in the patterns and colors but isn't velvet.

Scarf World's Long Sheer Shawl (Black & Blue Poppies) for £9.99 This scarf doesn't have any green but the turquoise actually matches her shirt better

Scarf World's Sheer Silk Shawl (Blue Flowers) for £9.99 Can you say pop! I really love this scarf, its quite different because it doesn't have any black but if you are going for the blue look try this great scarf.

Here's the al-amira you need, its nice and long so you don't have to be scared of the skinny scarf slipping off: Hijab Girl's Necessity One-Piece Al-Amira Hijab in Navy Blue for USD $5.25
